— Kimberly Ahlum | Founder

Dolce Viaggio is rooted in a lifelong immersion in thoughtful design and exceptional craftsmanship, shaped by the creation of luxury projects throughout the Caribbean, Northern California, Long Island, New York, and Palm Beach, Florida. From an early age, founder Kimberly Ahlum developed a deep appreciation for architecture and design through extensive exposure to Europe—particularly Italy—where a lasting passion was formed for creating exquisite interiors defined by quality, proportion, and meticulous detail.

The brand’s perspective was further refined through early experience in the world of mega-yachting, where holidays and summers were spent immersed in a culture of precision, discretion, and elevated living. Following her dual major preliminary education of Bachelor of Science and Interior Design, Kimberly began her professional career working closely with the Mellon family as an executive assistant, later transitioning into yacht and private aviation interior design under the Mellon family’s yacht sales umbrella.

A subsequent move to the West Coast expanded the brand’s exposure to the luxury interiors market, where she served as showroom manager for Donghia, representing the renowned Rubelli family. During this tenure, sales performance in the San Francisco showroom rose from ninth to third, nationally, reinforcing a strong foundation in both design excellence and market leadership.

Dolce Viaggio ultimately returned to its core focus—design—through the creation of an exclusive textile collection for a prominent West Coast interior designer. This pivotal chapter led to direct collaborations with esteemed Italian, French, English, Scottish, and Belgian textile mills, cultivating long-standing relationships with environmentally conscious artisans capable of producing a full range of custom-tailored luxury textile products.
